In 1993 Brian signed for Leeds United for £2.9million becoming the club's record signing and Sheffield's United's record sale. Brian went on to make 138 appearances for Leeds scoring 32 goals before returning to Sheffield United in 1997. Back at Bramall Lane Neil continued to build on his earlier success, scoring another 11 goals in 24 appearances.
