GEORGE DAVIS SIGNS WITH THE LOS ANGELES BLUES

George Davis has signed with the Los Angeles Blues of the USL PRO. The 2011 breakout player has joined the LA Blues in the hopes of winning a championship.
George began his college soccer career at the Bowling Green State University before transferring to the University of Kentucky. During his college years Davis also played with the Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League. Following his final season at Kentucky, Davis joined the Dayton Dutch Lions in 2010 for their debut season in the USL Premier Development League in 2010. He played 16 games, scoring 5 goals and contributing 7 assists.
George turned professional with the Lions following their self-promotion to the USL Professional Division in 2011. He made his professional debut on April 16, 2011, in the Lions season-opening game against the Charleston Battery. With a struggling Dayton side, Davis was able to maintain his focus, hard work and determination. This was proven as he played 23 games scoring 7 goals and creating 2 assists.
The Los Angeles Blues are going into their second year competing in the USL PRO and feel George will generate a ton of offense this season. Cassius' US Operations Manager, Matt Cohen says "LA is a great club with a real chance of winning the championship this season. I have no doubt that George will have an impact and am excited to show him around the West Coast!"
