Ronnie is truly enjoying playing his mix of urban music to a national and international audience and is one of the most listened to DJs via the Radio 1 and 1Xtra websites. For his specialist show Ronnie has interviewed some of the greats in the world of music from Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, Mariah Carey, Dizzee Rascal, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Estelle, JLS, Alicia Keys to name but a few, along with supporting new talent and giving them the opportunity to receive a greater audience.

Ronnie has more than paid his dues in the R&B club scene which dates back to 1989 with his first DJ promotion The Kat Club at Bar Rhumba. Moving on from this Ronnie established himself further with two impressive London residences at Club YoYo and Funk with Trevor Nelson at Sound. He also joined Trevor at the MTV Lick Parties in Ayia Napa and Leeds and on the Radio 1 stage at the Notting Hill Carnival. Ronnie was voted best club DJ by the readers of ‘Blues & Soul’ magazine in 2000. Ronnie’s success has further been recognised with two MOBO nominations in the categories of ‘Best Radio Show’ and ‘UK Best Club DJ’. At the moment you can catch Ronnie at his London end of month Friday residency at The Drunken Monkey and throughout the UK and internationally, playing everywhere from Ibiza to Dubai. Ronnie is also a veteran DJ at the popular 'Southport Weekenders'.

An expert and opinion former, Ronnie is regularly invited on to shows including BBC Breakfast and Sky News to share his insights and in depth knowledge of urban music. He was one of a handful of DJs to be be given a one off five day slot on MTV's 'DJ Takeover' show. Ronnie has also appeared in BBC drama 'Babyfather' and stretched his skills further to acting with script and his first on screen kiss in 'Holby City'.

Showing his versatility further, Ronnie has supported Amp Filder at the Jazz Café and The Brand New Heavies on their UK tour, as well as supplying the cuts on their 2003 release. On behalf of the BBC Ronnie has brought onto stage artists like John Legend & Lemar to perform at their Maida Vale studios. Not content with just playing the music, Ronnie’s skills include production and remixing, with his first ever record ‘It’s Too Late’ with group Quartz hitting the UK national chart at number 8 in 1991.

One of the most recognisable names in the UK urban music scene, tune in to Ronnie on BBC Radio 1Xtra for your one stop R&B lowdown.
