ABOUT

Rachael Wheeler is the deputy editor of the country’s most talked about gossip website – 3am.co.uk at the Daily Mirror. As the face of the website’s video section, Rachael lures the celebrities in with her sweet and innocent ways, before tearing them apart with her confident and shameless interview technique.

Rachael’s ballsy attitude towards all things celeb means that she’ll do anything to get a laugh, whether it’s turning up to interview Julia Roberts at a film premiere with fake hairy armpits (only to get forcibly ejected by an unimpressed bouncer) or throwing sexual innuendo at celebs, from unsuspecting A-listers like Tom Cruise to flustered newcomers like Olly Murs.

She has refreshingly honest and spin-free opinions on every showbiz story and certainly doesn’t claim to be best friends with the stars. Rachael has an encyclopaedic knowledge about all things showbiz and is happy to reveal what it’s really like to be a celebrity reporter for one of the UK’s leading tabloids.

While studying Multi-Media Journalism at Bournemouth University, Rachael travelled around the south west reading the news at various local radio stations, before landing a show on Fire Radio in Bournemouth. Upon graduating with first class honours, Rachael didn’t waste time in moving to the capital, where she started working for thelondonpaper. It was here that Rachael was introduced to celebrity journalism and got straight down to pestering the stars.

Finding it impossible to do as she was told when she was presented with celebrities and making a name for herself with celebrity agents, PRs and, er, security guards, it wasn’t long before Rachael was snapped up by 3am.co.uk and encouraged to do her very worst.

A natural on camera and impossible to embarrass, Rachael is regularly invited on to a number of television shows to share her humorous insights and opinions on all the latest celebrity news and gossip. Rachael can currently be seen reviewing the latest DVD releases on Dmax's new weekly film review show 'Movie Kingdom'.

Rachael is now keen to get more television and radio experience and will comment on just about anything.
